LPG Gas Cylinder Price Update 2026
LPG cylinder prices in India are revised periodically by Oil Marketing Companies under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The three major OMCs — Indian Oil (Indane), Bharat Petroleum (Bharat Gas), and Hindustan Petroleum (HP Gas) — supply LPG in two primary variants: the 14.2 kg domestic cylinder and the 19 kg commercial cylinder.
Domestic vs Commercial LPG Pricing
The 14.2 kg domestic cylinder is intended for household cooking and is subsidised for BPL families under PMUY (Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana). Eligible beneficiaries receive DBT subsidy directly in their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. The 19 kg commercial cylinder used in hotels and restaurants is priced at market rates and revised on the 1st of every month.
How LPG Prices Are Set
LPG prices are linked to the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (CP) — the benchmark for international LPG trading. Domestic prices also factor in the INR-USD exchange rate, import parity, freight charges, and taxes. State governments may levy additional VAT, causing price differences across states.
How to Book an LPG Refill
Book via toll-free numbers, through OMC apps (IndianOil One, SmartLine by BPCL, HP Pay), or the unified Umang App. Online booking through OMC portals allows scheduling delivery at your preferred time.
